Are you a dedicated and responsible professional with a passion for exotic fruit? Our client is seeking a Ripening Specialist focused on optimizing the ripening process for fruits such as avocados and mangoes. In this challenging role, youll be responsible for the entire process, from product arrival to customer delivery.
What you will do:
- Oversee the ripening of exotic fruits, carefully monitoring the ripening processes.
- Sort and package various types of exotic fruit to ensure they reach customers in prime condition.
- Supervise the product flow from arrival to delivery, ensuring an efficient workflow.
- Coordinate and schedule logistics around the ripening and distribution of fruit.
- Coach and guide team members to achieve optimal performance and foster strong teamwork.
- Anticipate and proactively resolve potential issues.
- Manage ripening process inventories to maintain appropriate stock levels.
- Report directly to the Ripening Manager on progress, challenges, and potential improvements within the ripening process.
- MBO/HBO-level thinking and work skills.
- Proven experience with ripening exotic fruits, preferably avocados and mangoes (or a willingness to learn).
- Knowledge of sorting and packing exotic fruits is a plus.
- Experience in quality control is preferred.
- Flexibility in working hours is essential.
- Leadership experience is a bonus.
- Proficiency in Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
